The Indigenous Television App represents a significant development in Nepal's media landscape, being the first and only national-level indigenous community television channel in South Asia. Launched on August 9, 2016, this channel is dedicated to producing and broadcasting content in the diverse languages spoken across Nepal. Established by a collective of indigenous journalists, it aims to amplify the voices of marginalized communities and preserve their languages, cultural practices, indigenous skills, knowledge, and wisdom.
